On Wednesday (November 12) during the European trading session, the pound/dollar fell for the second consecutive day. The price showed a trend of rebounding and repairing after fluctuating downwards during the day, and the overall game centered around the key support level of 1.3120. The current price is in the consolidation stage above the 1.3100 support level. The short-term trend is greatly affected by the long-short power game and fundamental data. In operation, you need to be vigilant about the choice of breakthrough direction.
Fundamental Analysis
British labor market data were weaker than expected, reinforcing market expectations for an interest rate cut by the Bank of England next month. Regular wage growth slowed to 4.6% in the third quarter, while the unemployment rate rose to 5.0%, exceeding expectations of 4.9%.
Last week, the Bank of England kept interest rates unchanged but said whether a rate cut in December would depend on the continued intensity of domestic inflationary pressures. The market is currently awaiting UK third-quarter GDP data due to be released on Thursday.
It is reported that British Prime Minister Starmer is wary of attempts to overthrow him. The continued weakness of the pound may be related to the uncertainty caused by this news.

Technical Analysis
On the 4-hour chart, the three lines of the Alligator indicator (upper lip 1.3154, teeth 1.3163, and lower jaw 1.3151) are currently closing.The convergence and entanglement state indicates that GBP/USD is in a consolidation period and the long-short game is intense. If the subsequent "lower jaw passes through the teeth and upper lip", it may start a bullish trend; if "the upper lip passes below the teeth and lower jaw", it may confirm the short trend. The convergence pattern of the Alligator indicator also verifies the market's wait-and-see mood. It is necessary to wait for the direction of the moving average opening to be clear before seizing trend opportunities.
In the KDJ index table, the K value is 24.52, the D value is 37.52, and the J value is -1.47. It is near the oversold area and has signs of turning. There may be rebound momentum in the short term, but we need to be wary of the direction selection after the indicator is repaired.
If the bulls can hold the 1.3100 support level, the exchange rate will continue to climb towards the 1.3250 resistance level. However, if the bears gain a foothold below 1.3100, the pair could fall further, with the next downside target approaching 1.3000.
